Abstract
The present study has been made on two types of materials, wastı fiber blends "extracted from Giza 70" and short-staple cotton "Giza 31", to compare the characteristics of open-end yarns under a given combination of three-variables. The variables considered are the rotor and combing roller speeds for different yarn linear densities. An experimental design technique (32) have been applied to domenst-: cate the effect of chosen variables on yarn tenacity, elongation at break, irregularity and yarn quality index. Also, this work, shows a technological interpretation of the results obtained in terms of one variable and two or more variables interactions.
