Abstract

A general methodology is presented for the node equation approximation. The developed methodology is applied to the phase modeling of an autotransformer. The approach makes it possible to perform short circuit transient calculations in the presence of an autotransformer. The aim of this paper is to compute short circuit transients using the travelling wave approach, for different types of faults and different configurations of autotransformer windings. On the basis of travelling wave approach and rung-kutta, a proposed program is constructed. also, this work discusses the reasons of errors in obtained results. The results and input data are numerated.
