Abstract

Heat transfer and pressure drop were measured for flow of air through a horizontal tube filled with porous media with internal induction heat generation. The heated copper test section has an inside diameter of 0.02 m, and 0.225 m long. The porosity was varied from 0.2527 to 0.5251 using uniform spherical steel beads.
