Abstract

The thermal conductivity is the key role in presenting the unique thermal properties of nanofluids. The literature involves many theoretical models that investigate and estimate the thermal conductivity of nanofluids. The main goal of this work is to determine the most applicable model. To achieve this goal, the most famous ten theoretical models have been selected, analyzed and compared with the available experimental data. From this comparison, two models due to Chon et al. [20] and Kumar et al. [23] have been chosen as most applicable models. Based on this analysis and comparison, a new theoretical model dealing with thermal conductivity of nanofluids has been drawn. Testing this proposed model via the available experimental results, shows a more agreement with these results compared with other models.
