Abstract

The fulfillment of psychological and physiological needs from the surrounding urban environment represents the key matters for a human being. Having a higher level of satisfaction of these needs will enhance to have a wellbeing human with successful leadership personality with positive contribution to his community. Therefore, when a person grows up in a coordinated urban environment with an aesthetic visual image, this will be reflected on the improvement and refinement of human behaviors and making it a positive. However, most of the urban development processes focus on the development of the buildings, and the spaces for the utilities and roads, without paying attention to the mental image of the human being, which transforms impressions and feelings into behaviors that affect the efficiency of the use of these spaces. This study Therefore aims to activate the role of the visual, psychological, functional, and social elements in utilization of urban space to satisfy the needs and requirements of the beneficiaries, with application to a research methodology combining a theoretical and analytical approach, under which the study will address analysis of advanced global and local experiences in utilization of roads and urban spaces, and come up with a set of performance indicators and recommendations, including; The reasons behind the behavioral change of individuals commonly back to the failure to give priority to pedestrian, non-compliance with cultural and social aspects, the unavailability of psychological and material needs
