Abstract
In the present work, the experimental studies were carried out the investigation of the effect of some factors on the spike energy of the light and heavy spindles used frequently; in cotton spinning and in twisting continuous filament, speed with and without the spool and also with different values of full yarn package. Depending on the rotating mass, it was found that by the increase of the heavy spindle speed from 4000 r.p.m to 12000 r.p.m, the spike energy of the spindle with full package increase from 0.5 gSE to 2.3 gSE. At the working speed (10000 r.p.m) of the heavy spindle with full package, the value of the spike energy is about 2 gSE. For the light spindle, it was found that the spike energy ranges from 0.32 gSE to 0.96 gSE for full package when the spindle speed increases from 2k r.p.m to 16 k r.p.m. Also, it was found that full package increases the spike energy to 0.80 gSE at the working speed (12000 r.p.m). In the present work an experimental study, on the spike energy of the light and heavy spindles has been taken place. Also, the results of the present work have been compared with the IRD Mechanalysis Spike Energy Severity Chart, where it was found to be 2.5 gSE as an average value at spindle r.p.m 10000. This means that our spindle bearing is going to be absolute or to be changed.
