Abstract

Technology plays an important role in meeting the needs of users, as it is considered one of the important tools in the BIM construction and industry, which many engineering sectors in projects have taken an interest in using by creating a social and healthy environment. Therefore, Egypt was interested in resorting to the establishment of stations to take advantage of renewable energy sources to produce energy and reduce the consumption of non-renewable energy sources, including reducing the consumption of cooling devices in the summer to save energy and costs. BIM helps designers design buildings quickly, the ability to analyze information, the ability to be creative, and think about finding appropriate solutions that do not harm the environment, energy consumption, and resources. The research presents and explains the importance of integrating BIM technology into computer applications with various programs and the relationship with simulation programs for energy and cost analysis, then choosing one of the housing projects implemented in Egypt, which is called social housing, to solve the problems of facades and surfaces that suffer from high temperatures and poor lighting and ventilation through simulation programs. The research found the third case is the best case after the simulation process compared the results for Energy and cost to reach the minimum rate of consumption in four cases from 95% to 50% reduction of high consumption and cost in the building to make it more sustainable and efficient.
