Abstract

Rapid urbanization is increasing globally, the urbanization rate expected to rise to more than 66% by 2050. (According to UN estimates) the increasing rates of urbanization in the world means adding 2.5 billion people to the urban population within a short period. Which necessitates increasing the traffic axes and the rest of the networks in terms of lengths and widths within the existing cities, and with the presence of the population during these works - despite their inevitability - the quality of their urban life is affected socially, naturally and economically. the research monitors these effects and the extent of their contribution to the indicators and measures of urban quality of life predetermined by the World Health Organization, by measuring the decline in quality of life indicators by conducting a questionnaire for the opinion of the population during the construction process, as well as collecting damages to the population and reducing their satisfaction rates, then make mathematical analyzes of that data to determine the extent of the impact on the quality of life in the area concerned. The research results have concluded that there is a negative impact on the quality of life of the people as a result of the construction and modifications being carried out on the city's infrastructure. This was measured using validated measurement methods and analyzed accordingly.
